         Occupational Therapy: Gross Motor

Engaging in gross motor skill training provides numerous benefits for individuals of all ages.
Firstly, it promotes physical fitness and overall health by strengthening large muscle groups,
enhancing cardiovascular endurance, and improving coordination. Regular participation in activities
such as running, jumping, and balancing helps individuals develop better body control, balance, and
agility. Secondly, gross motor skill training supports the development of essential life skills, such as
spatial awareness, body awareness, and bilateral coordination.
Additionally, this training contributes to cognitive development,
as it requires concentration, problem-solving, and the ability
to follow instructions. Furthermore, engaging in physical
play and activities promotes social interaction,
teamwork, and the development of positive
         self-esteem and confidence.
