Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons at the high school level.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • A valid teaching certification or license, demonstrating your commitment to the teaching profession.

  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience at the high school level.

  • Experience in a values-based or international school setting preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.

  • Proficiency in classroom management techniques and strategies to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and educational technology tools.

  • A genuine passion for education and a dedication to helping students reach their full potential.

Malay Language and History Teacher

Job Type: Teaching

Job Description
The Malay Language and History Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Bahasa Melayu and History, fostering students' academic growth, language proficiency, critical thinking, and appreciation of Malaysian heritage. The teacher creates an engaging and inclusive classroom environment, supports students' holistic development, and contributes actively to the school's academic excellence and community. Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership, the teacher upholds the school's mission, values, and educational standards while inspiring students to become lifelong learners and responsible global citizens.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Bahasa Melayu and History aligned with the school's curriculum and learning standards.
  • Create lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials that promote critical thinking and active learning.
  • Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, examinations, and projects, providing timely feedback.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic performance, and behaviour.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Integrate educational technology into teaching and learning where appropriate.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' academic progress and wellbeing.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and extracurricular activities.
  • Perform other teaching and administrative duties as assigned by the school management.
 Required Skills/Characteristics
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Malay Language, History, or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification (Professional Graduate Diploma in Education / Diploma in Education) is an advantage.
  • Strong command of spoken and written Bahasa Melayu and English.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passionate about teaching and inspiring students.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
